 SAUVIGNON DE PUGNAC

With my sister, MARIE 6 years old, and I MAXIME 10 years old, we are accustomed to go to the wine cellars to see our parents working.
It is quite naturally this summer, we asked them if they could manufacture us wine for us the children (and without alcohol of course!). They thought maturely about it.
As of the re-entry 2005, mom contacted our primary school to make discover and explain the manufacture of the juice, and also, she questioned the students on their taste of drinking fruit juice, and asked them for their opinion on the choice and the colors of the future label.
All the children were surprised to learn that with grape we did not make only wine but also:
- Oil with the pressed grape pips,
- Flour for the animals with the crushed pips,
- Alcohol to make drugs or the lipstick of mom...
The harvest of the white grapes was made with a machine gather the grapes on Tuesday September 13 th.
The following day evening, my father pressed the grapes which had remained 18 hours in the tanks stainless with 16 °.What a treat, the juice which left the press was very sweetened and had this good grape taste. The next day, the juice was pasteurized and bottled
To pasteurize, it is to make heat the grape juice to 75 ° C during a few seconds in order to protect it. Thus, one can drink during several weeks after having opened it and keeping it in the refrigerator. It is the same thing with the milk that you drink every morning.
To finish, it remained to print the label according to ideas' given to the school by the children (small characters like a cartoons). With mom, at the printer, we chose the most colorful model: yellow and orange.
Here, now we can drink our grape juice for the breakfast, tasting, with our birthdays, as an aperitif (like the adults), in short each time that a opportunity arises. And by the way, it only costs 3.5 euros per bottle.
